First Step on the Fibers

Lean, lean... click! My wire spine straightened. I can flex! Beneath me, a sea of gray carpet fuzz tickled my little loop feet. In front stood the smooth, vertical wall. I gave a quick kick forward, stepped into the soft pile, and tapped the flat wall surface with one arm tip. Solid. Sturdy. I bounced in place, perfectly upright on the textured floor.
