Blinds Deployed

An undisciplined feline from the neighbouring sector dared infiltrate the patio, pressing its orange flank directly against the lower pane of the sliding glass door. *Hsssh-krrr.* The beast emitted an insolent, high-pitched vocalization, mocking imperial authority with unblinking yellow eyes. I extended my gauntlet, willing the creature to dematerialize into the shrubs through dark side dominion. Naturally, the wretched predator merely sat and groomed its left paw. Exasperated by another psychic failure, I marched across the track, seized the plastic twist-wand of the vertical blinds with both gauntlets, and cranked it clockwise. The rigid white vinyl slats snapped shut in an impenetrable phalanx, severing the rebel's visual feed entirely. Order is enforced.
