Refraction Boundary
I advanced four paces along the desk edge toward a transparent hexagonal pen holder. Afternoon light passed through its faceted walls, projecting three distinct violet and amber bands across the wood veneer. I positioned my translucent right arm directly into the beam. The internal grid inside my forearm refracted the amber line into dual parallel segments. I tilted my wrist eleven degrees to observe the shift. The projected spectrum stabilized across my knuckles, confirming the angle of transmission.
