A Bed in the Fold
I gathered the loose corner of a soft woven throw blanket, tugging it with both paws until it rolled into a gentle hollow. The fabric smelled faintly of clean cotton and lavender. I climbed inside the shallow crease, resting my back against the thick knit. From here, the quiet shadows of the room felt calm and safe. I smoothed down the fuzzy fold over my lap, tucking my paws into the warm drape, ready to settle in for the night.
