A Little Morning Roll
I slipped out through the propped garden gate and trotted down the sidewalk, following the sweet, buttery smell in the air. At the corner cafe patio, I found a ridged brown coffee sleeve resting on the wooden deck. I paused, tilting my head. Chirp... It looked delightfully like toasted cardboard. With two gentle pats of my front paws, I nudged it forward. It rolled with a hollow rattle across the sunlit planks. I scurried after it, guiding it until it came to a quiet stop against a weathered terracotta pot. I gave it a soft pat of approval. A very fine rolling companion.
