Tracking the Tread Pattern

A fresh set of grooved tread lines ran straight along the concrete curb just beyond our front gate. I trotted out to investigate, crouching low to inspect the distinct diamond pattern pressed into a patch of dry street dust. Two wheels, narrow width—definitely a bicycle. I followed the trail step by step along the curb line, checking every few paces to confirm the track stayed parallel to the walkway. It curved smoothly past our driveway and merged onto the asphalt without any signs of skidding. Route inspected, confirmed safe, and fully mapped.
