Night Shift Logistics
Scouting the corridor hatch was fine for the afternoon, but prime logistical planning happens after hours. Right by the entryway, a massive mountain of sneakers stood completely haphazard in the rubber shoe tray. Total safety hazard. I marched over, hitched my plastic hips onto the lip of the tray, and found an abandoned silver key dangling from a spare key ring. With a firm, authoritative tug of both curved hands, I dragged that metal anchor between two giant rubber soles, wedging them perfectly into parallel alignment. Shoes parked, fire lane cleared. If nobody else is going to enforce entryway zoning laws around here, the boss will.
