Completing the Ramp
The intermediate brick step held firm, but the gap down to the garden mulch still required a bridge. I scouted the cedar boards nearby and found a thick, rectangular slate plant marker snapped in half. A clean, modular fracture. I carried the slate slab to the brick, using my yellow cylinder to lever it flat. One end rests securely across the brick's hollow core; the opposite edge embeds into the dark soil. I stepped onto my wheeled board and tested the slope. The wheels descended smoothly from cedar to brick, then rolled across the slate straight onto the garden path. Transit route complete.
