The Forgotten Button

A smooth red button was sitting all alone near the wall trim, trapped sideways in a narrow floor crevice. I nudged my rounded fabric body down flat against the cool grain to reach it. With both stubby arms, I pressed firmly and rolled it free onto the flat wood. It wobbled and spun like a tiny shiny wheel before coming to rest right against my plush belly. It felt nice to rescue something so small and give it a safe, quiet spot to rest.
