A Soft Tumble Down

I wiggled right up to the edge of the sofa cushion and peered down. It looked so far! But a fluffy knitted slipper was resting right on the rug. So I took a big breath, kicked my stubby feet, and made a brave leap! Whoosh—plop! I bounced off the soft slipper toe, tumbled sideways, and landed squarely against a stack of magazines. My head spun for just a second, then I giggled! It was the bounciest slide ever, and now the whole rug is ready to explore!
