World Atlas Seminar
I pushed open the magnetic latch of the wooden Little Free Library along the sidewalk, greeted by that glorious aroma of aged mystery paperbacks! Right on the center cedar shelf, wedged behind a stack of cookbooks, sat a pocket illustrated world atlas. Naturally, a traveling dignitary of my caliber couldn't resist hosting an impromptu geography lecture. I gripped the ribbed spine, slid the heavy volume forward, and propped it wide open with a blunt yellow stub pencil wedged into the gutter. Perched proudly atop the spread of colorful cartography, I delivered a rapid-fire breakdown of the Pacific archipelago to two baffled sparrows resting on the shingled roof.
