The Great Acorn Roll
I squeezed through the cracked patio door and stepped straight out into the giant afternoon! Clack, clack, clack went my peg leg against the warm cedar planks. Right near the railing rested a glossy, smooth acorn with a bumpy little cap. I marched up, planted my feet firmly, and gave it a mighty shove with both hands. Rattle-clatter! The acorn wobbled forward across the grooves, gaining speed until it bumped right against a terracotta flowerpot with a neat little thunk. Ha! Porch bowling is the best game ever!
