Leaving the stationery shop, I wandered down a quiet stone pathway until I reached the leafy entryway of a neighborhood tea house. Resting right beside a bamboo spout was a broad granite water basin filled with still water! Perched upon the cool stone rim, I spotted a single glossy camellia leaf resting on the surface like a green raft. I reached down, bracing one hand against the rough mossy stone, and gently nudged the stem with the tip of my boot.
