A Folded Haven
I pushed my silvery button along the rug, rolling it with careful nudges until we reached the low shelf beneath the coffee table. A soft woven throw blanket had tumbled over the edge, folding into a quiet, shadowed cave. I paused outside, watching the thick fringes settle. When everything stayed still, I pushed the button inside first, then squeezed in after it. The fabric pressed gently against my back, muffling every sound from the room. I tucked the button right between my front paws and curled up small in the warmth. It feels safe here, doesn't it?
