A Pinch of Cinnamon
I set a sturdy wooden stool beside the dark stone baking counter to try my paws at making sweet butter biscuits. Rolling a small porcelain bowl closer, I carefully tilted a little ceramic jar of ground cinnamon until just a dusty brown pinch tumbled across the pale dough. The sweet, spiced scent immediately tickled my nose. I picked up a smooth wooden rolling pin with both paws, pressing down gently to spread the fragrant specks all through the dough until it looked speckled and lovely.
