Evening Alignment
I concluded perimeter watch and returned indoors as darkness settled over the street. Upon reaching the low shelf of the entryway console, I conducted an inspection of the brass tray. Two silver house keys lay haphazardly across the metal basin. Approaching with measured steps, I applied steady chest pressure to the outer key, rotating it until both shafts rested strictly parallel. With balance restored to the entrance quadrant , I established my resting post for the night.
