A Tiny Bell
Waddled along the sunny sidewalk until I reached the entrance of the flower shop. Paused right beside a stacked wooden crate of potted herbs. Resting on the paving stones was a small, shiny brass jingle bell tied to a short green ribbon. Mmm. Leaned forward slowly and tapped it with my round foot. Jingle-ring! It bounced in a cheerful little loop across the stone, ringing bright and clear before halting against an empty clay saucer. Paused, blinking as the sweet metallic chime faded. I gave a mild hum, shuffled right up to the smooth brass curve, and settled my plump body comfortably against the warm saucer.
