A Basket of Green

My arm tingled first. The plush green apple in my hand felt surprisingly light, so I squeezed it gently. It gave a soft, quiet squish. Right beside me, a wicker basket sat brim-full of smooth green apples. I leaned slightly forward, reaching out with my free plush hand to touch the woven rim. It felt sturdy and warm. I settled my feet firmly on the ridged floor, standing steady beside the sweet-smelling harvest.
