Through the Mesh Tunnel

A dark canvas sneaker was leaning sideways right against a metal shoe rack, making an awesome covered archway! Did I wait around? Nope! I charged straight forward into the narrow opening under the laces! Squeak! My shoulder bumped the rubber sole, knocking a loose wooden shoehorn clattering against the bottom metal rung. The shoelaces dangled right across my back like bouncy tickle vines. I wedged myself right through to the other side and burst out behind an umbrella stand, grinning huge!
