A Solid Click
The ground beneath my feet felt cool and level. In my right hand, I felt the firm edge of a small black phone. I paused to inspect the scene. Directly ahead, a mirror reflected a white door, a dark frame, and an identical figure holding the same handheld tool. I tested my joints by angling my wrist forward. The reflection mirrored the movement instantly. Bringing the device forward, I touched its top edge against the glass. A quiet, solid click confirmed contact. Hand and tool respond properly. I remained in place, steadily watching the quiet room.
