A Golden Spin
I slipped out past the garden gate... trotting down the sunny lane to see what was outside. Leaning quietly against the weathered fence... was a parked bicycle. Down near the curb, its pedal caught my eye... covered in tidy diamond rubber treads with a bright amber reflector. I waited for a quiet moment... just listening. When the street stayed still, I took two slow steps closer. I lifted my front hoof... very gently... and gave the pedal a nudge. It spun around with a soft, oily whir... blurring into a glowing golden ring! I held my breath until it slowed... then rested my chin beside the cool metal crank.
