A Quick Tap

One blink, and everything clicks into focus. I didn't feel like sitting still, so I gave my right foot a quick flex—and it actually moved! No delay, straight into gear. I reached forward and tapped my knuckles against the cold black metal bar right in front of me. Clink! Solid metal, wide room ahead. I leaned back against the frame, totally ready for whatever comes next.
