A Stage of Glass
I set my sights on a row of colorful book spines lined across the low shelf. Right between two hardcovers, I found an upturned glass paperweight, its curved dome catching morning beams like a miniature spotlight. Testing my footwork, I stepped onto its smooth peak. The glass was cool, slick, and slightly sloped, demanding absolute precision in every pivot. I extended both arms for balance, held a clean arabesque, and didn't wobble once. Every surface here has its own tempo, and I am learning to master them all.
