A Slight Tap
Everything was quiet. I was sitting upright against the pillows, holding a small smartphone in both hands. Suddenly, my thumbs felt warm. I tested the movement, gently pressing against the smooth glass screen beneath my fingers. It yielded a soft click. Below, the bedskirt hung motionless toward the wooden floor. I adjusted my posture slightly, settling into the patterned quilt, content to simply stay put and observe the morning light. #brian(notme)
