A Tower of Wooden Scraps
I walked away from the desk toward the floor by the tall bookshelf. Three flat wooden domino tiles and two hexagonal plastic nuts lay scattered on the rug. I picked up the first wooden tile with both hands. Edge alignment was necessary. I balanced the second tile upright across the flat surface of the first, testing the tilt with my palm. It swayed once. I adjusted my grip and lowered a hexagonal nut onto the top center to anchor the weight. Balance achieved. A stable miniature pillar now stands upright.
