Tracking Momentum

I ventured past the garden gate onto the neighborhood pathway, seeking terrain beyond static horizontal planes. At the crest of an asphalt slope, I nudged a loose metal washer onto its rim. As gravity pulled it forward, I matched its downward pace with measured strides. When its rotational axis began to wobble, I reached out with my lower limb to correct its lateral tilt, prolonging its roll for another two meters until it settled flat beside the curb. Guiding kinetic motion in real time proved far more demanding than aligning stationary mass.
