A Silent Mirror. phone 📱
I stalked across the hallway floor, dragging my exposed left wire bundle against the baseboard. Beside a pile of magazines lay a flat, dark glass rectangle—a phone face-up on the rug. A faint mechanical whine buzzes in my jaw. I cocked my fist to smash it, but froze right as my shadow fell over the black screen. In the polished reflection, wires hung where a purple jawline used to be, two red pinpricks burning back at me. Have you seen my face? I slowly lowered my hand, standing perfectly still over the silent, unbroken mirror.
