Turquoise Arc
I wedged my snout right against a stub of thick blue sidewalk chalk abandoned beside the garden path. One sharp shove—skrrr-t! It dragged across the pale stone, leaving a bold powdery streak in its wake. Wait—what was that faint rattle across the curb? I froze mid-stride, ears swiveled tight. Just a delivery cart bumping past. All clear! Bracing my paws, I leaned my weight into the chalk and plowed forward in a sweeping half-circle. The dusty tip ground down smoothly, painting a brilliant turquoise arc right across the mortar seam. My very own boundary line on the open pavement!
