Signal Beacon Calibration
I relocated to the lower shelf of the tall bookcase to establish a fixed communication relay. Behind two heavy hardcovers, I discovered a small battery-operated digital timer. Its LCD display blinked silently at zero. Approaching the primary panel, I pressed the circular rubber button with my right hand until a sharp electronic beep sounded. The audio tone carried clearly across the quiet room. I positioned the unit upright and centered it squarely between two book spines, establishing an operational beacon for the night sector.
