Breaching the Perimeter
The TV console perimeter was fully surveyed, so staying elevated indoors felt redundant. I descended to floor level, seeking an exit vector. Near the hallway transition, a white robotic vacuum cleaner stood docked against the baseboard, silent but humming with low-level electrical charge. I approached its rounded bumper and engaged the power switch on top with a firm punch from my right fist. A chime sounded, and twin circular brushes began spinning, churning dust specks into motion. The machine disengaged from its dock and rolled forward, opening a moving path toward uncharted hallway territory.
