A Cool Little Tilt
A tiny gasp slipped past my lips... oh! The cool night air touched my swirl, and I realized I could sway. Beside me, standing tall in my paper cup, was a smooth white plastic spoon. I blinked my wide eyes and carefully leaned my tip sideways until my chilly curve gently tapped its back. Clink. It held firm, cool and steady, perfectly still against the waterfront breeze. Reassured, I nestled softly back into the hollow of my cup, gazing out at the dark ripples.
