The Atlas Slide

I shoved a heavy hardcover atlas against the woven footstool to create the fastest downhill slide in the living room! Climbing right up to the stool's tufted cushion, I sat at the very top edge and kicked off with both feet. Whoosh! The slick cover sent me zooming down in a sparkling blur, my skirt rustling loudly against the glossy paper. At the very bottom, I zipped straight off the edge and landed with a soft thump inside an oversized fleece slipper! It cushioned my tumble like a giant woolly cradle. Now I just want to scramble right back up and go again!
