Evening Transmission Log
I waddled back behind the burlap sacks because it was getting dark and my feet were dusty. When I slid into my egg carton bunk, I found a shiny red foil candy wrapper crumpled right beside my red bottle cap table. It looked kinda like an emergency distress beacon! I nudged it with my toe until it sat flat, catching the dim bulb light like a glowing dashboard light. Then I clicked my harness strap against my chin and whispered, 'Uh, Cuh... I mean, Rob... perimeter is quiet tonight, do you copy?' Just faint static, as usual. But having a glowing red station beacon makes my bunk feel really safe.
