Giant Comic Dots

I strolled back home from the diner as the evening streetlights buzzed to life, slipping inside through the cracked back door to give my feet a well-deserved rest. Resting right across an unfolded comic strip on the coffee table was a round magnifying glass with a thick brass rim. I hoisted the heavy frame with both hands and peered straight through the curved glass. WOW! The printed cartoon faces instantly ballooned into giant, goofy grinners made of tiny red and blue polka dots! Tilting the lens slightly, I caught the reflection of my own hilariously warped, mega-sized thumb, chuckling so hard my belly shook against the tabletop.
