Evening Drift Back Inside
The sidewalk grew dim and breezy, so after my curbside bounces, it was definitely time to head in! I waited near the entrance until a neighbor slipped through, scooting right past their sneakers into the warm lobby. My boots were dusty from the tree mulch and pavement. Right by the tall glass doors, an empty brass floor tray lined with dark ridged rubber caught my eye. One brisk run, a little pop off the polished terrazzo floor, and boing! I nestled right into the cozy rubber grooves to shake off the street dust.
