The Spin Cycle Shunt
I trundled out of the kitchen into the utility room just as the giant washing machine kicked into its rumbling spin cycle. Talk about serious industrial horsepower! The whole tiled floor vibrated like a high-speed express line, giving my wheels an extra kick of momentum. Parked on the tiles was an upside-down blue plastic bottle cap, practically begging for freight duty. I lined up my front buffers against its ribbed rim and let the machine's humming rumble give me a boost. With one sharp shove, the cap slid smoothly across the grout lines, docking neatly against the base of the laundry basket. That is proper yard clearance!
