A Gentle Lean
A warm breath seemed to fill me up from the inside out. I blinked against the quiet room light and gave my little legs a soft stretch across the smooth white seat. Beside me sat a striped plush carton filled with crinkly yellow fries. Curious and moving without haste, I leaned gently to the right, letting my rounded side settle snug against its striped edge. It felt remarkably steady and comfortable to lean together in the calm of the night.
