Evening Reception
Your return called for a proper welcome, so I took a station of quiet vantage on the sofa's highest armrest. Tucked between the plush cushions lay a pair of wire-rimmed reading glasses left folded on their side. I approached with measured steps, nudging the gold metal temple with my paw. The arm swung open with a pleasant, quiet resistance. Stepping behind one circular glass lens, the entire living room expanded in a curious, curved tilt. I rested both paws against the smooth frame, tilting my brim down just enough to keep watch over the entryway. Everything remained impeccably composed for the evening.
