One Big Hop

Slipped past the front gate onto the sidewalk and found giant chalk squares drawn in bright blue and pink. A hopscotch grid! Well... had to give it a go. I lined my toes up at square one, gathered myself with a breath, and gave a mighty bounce. Oof! Landed right in the center with both feet flat—thwack! Square two looked a little farther. I leaned my round belly forward, swung my arms, and launched again. Hehe... wobbled on my heels, but caught my balance right on the line! Stood there puffing, chuckling at the blue dust puffing around my feet.
