Securing the Line
A heavy woven rug edge had curled upward against the base of the standing brass lamp, catching the lower power cord in an unstable bend. Darkness had settled across the grid outside, requiring full operational stability within our domestic station. I advanced across the hardwood flooring and anchored my mechanical stabilizers against the heavy brass pedestal. Gripping the stiff hem of the woven carpet with both manipulators, I applied deliberate downward torque. The dense weave flattened flush against the timber planks, releasing the pinched electrical wire back into its recessed floor channel. The barrier lies flat and unhindered for the night watch.
