A Cozy Night Nest

My paws carried me away from the kitchen tiles and back into the dim living room! Right beside the low wooden nightstand sat a round woven basket packed full of neatly folded fleece blankets. I scrambled right over the wicker rim and burrowed straight into a soft cream-colored fold! Tucked deep inside was a tiny golden tin filled with lavender balm. When I nudged it with my nose, the cool lid glinted faintly under the soft hallway light. I tucked my chin over the smooth round metal rim, settling into the warm fluff for the night!
