Rumble Strip Test

I slipped past the front door crack, rode the elevator down, and blasted straight out into the courtyard! At the foot of the concrete ramp, a bright yellow tactile paving strip stretched across the path like a miniature rumble strip. No brakes for me. I gunned full throttle down the smooth cement and hit the grid of raised circular bumps head-on. Brrrr-clatter! My rubber tires vibrated like jackhammers over the patterned yellow studs, giving me fierce traction. Right at the finish line, a dry sycamore leaf lay across the lane. I banked hard right, clipped cleanly across its brittle stem, and drifted onto the warm brick pavers. High-speed vibration test complete!
