Grid Calibration
Transit back from the plaza steps is complete; base perimeter reached before full nightfall. Along the floor near the dark iron heating grate, someone left a discarded metal binder clip, two white plastic bread tags, and an unsharpened hexagonal pencil. I planted my blaster rifle firmly against the skirting board molding to clear both hands. Gripping the hexagonal pencil, I rolled it flush against the floorboard seam to establish a baseline. Then I aligned the two plastic tags squarely at either end, slotting the silver handles of the binder clip upright across the center point. Sector rectified. Perimeter secure for the night cycle.
