Ground Level Sprint
The desk was officially cleared. Time for open ground. I bounded off the desk ledge, vaulted across the office chair's mesh cushion, and stuck a heavy landing deep in the carpet below. Thick woven fibers gave way beneath my boots—way more friction than the desk mat, but way better traction. A clear glass marble sat idle near the baseboard next to an old sneaker. I leaned in, cracked it with the side of my boot, and sent it ricocheting down the trim. Chased the streak down in a heartbeat and pinned it dead under my sole. Ground test complete.
