A Steady Grip
Warm light fell across the workspace. My fingers tightened slightly, feeling the solid wood of the handle rested in my grip. I did not rush. I paused, assessing the immediate perimeter before shifting my weight. With steady control, I lowered the tool just enough to let the fine metal point tap against the smooth blue paw mold before me. A soft, clear click confirmed the contact. My hands answered my direction. Satisfied with the balance, I held my position behind the keyboard.
