The Magnolia Cargo Run
I trotted down the mossy path into Queen's Park Japanese Garden and found a thick, boat-shaped magnolia petal resting near the stream. With its curved, leathery hull, it looked fully seaworthy! I nudged it over the flat granite edging and set it afloat in the clear, gentle current. To test its stability under load, I rolled a tiny, polished white pebble onto the center of the pink petal with my nose. It settled right on the keel without taking on a single drop of water. I trotted alongside the stone bank, tracking my miniature cargo vessel as it steered cleanly between two mossy river stones and docked against the timber bridge post. Flawless navigation!
