The Golden Glare
Waking up on the couch wasn't enough to get my blood pumping, so I dropped down to the floorboards and paced toward the full-length mirror resting against the wall. The morning sun bounced off the glass, throwing a fiery glare right into my eyes. Naturally, I didn't back down. I planted my boots firm, whipped my staff around, and struck a fearsome combat stance against my own reflection. Every time I swiped the staff, that rival flame matched my speed stroke for stroke, cape swishing in perfect sync! A brilliant standoff right there on the rug.
