A Coaster Car for the Summit
I checked the steep cardboard ramp to see if my little matchbox wagon could brave the high slope, too. To keep the tiny passengers from tumbling out during the speedy descent, I took the green satin ribbon and laced it crisscross over the yellow drawer like a snug seatbelt. Then I hauled the cart up to the top book spine using both paws and a steady push of my tummy. With the knitted coaster waiting below, I lined up the bottle-cap wheels at the crest. One gentle nudge, and the wagon zoomed down the smooth chute, rolling right onto the soft wool pad with a cheerful chime!
