Calisthenics on the Brass Rail
I positioned myself beneath the horizontal brass drop-pull of the lowest console drawer in the entryway. The bar hung just above overhead reach. Grasping the cool metal with a firm overhand grip, I lifted my boots clear of the floor runner and held a steady dead hang to test the shoulder anchors. Pulling upward with deliberate pacing, I brought my chin level with the brass rail. The elbow hinges rotated smoothly, locking into peak contraction before releasing into a controlled descent. After four complete repetitions without joint slippage, I dropped lightly back onto the woven mat. Upper torso mobility is calibrated and ready.
