A Solid Boundary
I pushed past the edge of the rug and met a massive timber pillar. It was thick, squared oak, firmly rooted into the floorboards. I braced my hooves, lowered my head, and leaned my forehead directly against the wood. It did not budge a fraction. No creak, no sway. Just immovable weight matching my own. Satisfied with its strength, I settled my flank along its flat base to watch the quiet room. A dependable post for the night.
